associate degreeI am Miranda Hazen, an American student from Los Angeles, California on the associate degree program at the Hubbard College of Administration (HCA), Los Angeles, CA. I recently completed my Public Relations Apprenticeship at the Hubbard College of Administration and I was very happy with the outcome. On this apprenticeship, I did many drills on how to handle different situations that are related to public relations that come up in the real business world: manners, opinion leaders, how to handle an enemy line, handling black PR, how to create a safe space from which to promote one’s company (safe pointing), the PR process in total to name a few. These drills took the theory of the “Public Relations” course and gave it mass. This was really amazing because after doing these drills I began to notice that many big well-known companies don’t know how to handle their image correctly. They don’t know the rules of PR and so they get themselves into situations that make them look unprofessional. With this course and apprenticeship, you gain the tools to establish good relations with the public.  In addition, you gain tools to handle negative press or engineered campaigns against your company. Knowing how to present yourself and your business is a key factor to being successful. Therefore, knowing PR is vital! HCA is a self-paced business school that offers an exceptional business administration curriculum, unique learning technology, life-changing apprenticeships and internships, assistance with job placement and a lifetime warranty for students.  I am currently on the “Marketing” course.
